What dog is the best dog to travel with. In terms of temperature tolerance and natural tolerance for work.?
Byi am wondering what dog breed is the best to travel with. I am not talking about in a car or plane exclusively. I mean in every sense. everything from traversing in a plane, car, back of a truck, boats, or walking for miles on end. Also their ability to protect in some way is helplful. The temperature tolerance is a concern as well since I will be traveling the world and plan to visit both cold and hot climates. AND the dog need to be of average of higher competentcy. If you have the experience in dogs enough so to make a good guess on which breed is mostnidel for the demands please tell me , I would be most grateful.
I have some breed in mind already, tell me if they are any good or not and why
canaandog
beagle
harrier
brittany
bull terrier
basenji
english springer spaniel
white german sheperd
FYI I do understand the concept that all dogs should be recongized as dogs and not by breed, but i also know that some dogs are just plain better to do some tasks than others

Just curious, but how will you be travelling the world with your dog?
Beagle — good travelers, independent, like to follow their nose, sweet natured and friendly, not protective, great walking companion although letting a Beagle off leash is not recommended.
Brittany and Springer Spaniel — I will put these two together because they are very similar breeds. Good travelers as they are high energy and always on the go, sweet natured, stubborn, not particularly easy to train, not protective but make good watch dogs, excellent walking companions — ability to be let off leash depends on the individual. With training they can.
Basenji — can’t really help with this one but generally, they cannot be trusted off leash and they do not make good watch dogs because they cannot bark.
White German Shepherd — do NOT get a white Shepherd! they are bred for color and nothing more. They usually have temperament issues. Instead, a well bred black and tan or pure black GSD is a far better choice. Excellent travelers, high intelligent, highly protective and fantastic exercise partners.
Out of all the dogs you listed, the Shepherd would be my first choice with the English Springer coming in second. If I had to pick a third, it wouldn’t be on that list. Although I am a little bias in saying this as I own three of them, a Labrador Retriever also fits your requirements.
Best of luck!
