Are boxer dogs any safer near children than other dogs?

I don't have any pets of my own but my sister and her partner have said that they are safer than other dogs but I have read of cases of boxer dogs killing children so im not sure.

A good handful of dogs can be good with children if trained properly. Just make sure your children don’t get to rough with the boxer because the boxer will get rougher with the children and we don’t want any accidentals bites or knockdowns.
