If you had to choose one in your lifetime, would it be dogs or children?
ByI'm 100% serious. I'm in my early 20s and can not fathom having children, my dogs are enough. If you chose children, what's so great about parenthood? More time, money, mouth to feed, less of a social life and even more expensive doctor visits (compared to doggy children).
Maybe I'll change some day, I don't know. But what would you choose?

I’d have to say I would choose children. Children can not be easily replaced. Puppy love is just not the same as giving live birth to your own family.
When I was a child, I was given a dog for a gift. My dad brought home German Sheppards, Samoyeds, Dobermans and a little spitz for me. I really loved and cared for him, but I eventually grew up and my spitz died.
I have kids now and they love pets: cats, dogs, birds, fishes, ferrets, etc. It’s a great relationship for kids, and as an adult I don’t mind if the kids learn how to care for something other than just themselves.
Personally, I would rather have my kids any day because as a parent I can relate to them so much better. If your not financially stable, still have to adjust socially, or just not ready to relate to humans on that level yet, it would be better to stick with animals. It would mean one less mouth to feed in society.
