Why do people insist on comparing dogs to children?
ByWould you give your left kidney for your child? Sure you would... and to compare dogs to children, would you do the same for your dog?
I am just curious why some choose compare dog's to children?
Ok let me give an example, one question on here asked :If you were starving, would you eat your dog?
One answer to that was : Would you eat your own child? No
That is the state of mind I am talking about.
And btw... the photo for my avatar was taken for Christmas Cards this year.I do not typically dress them up or treat them as children.

IMO it has become politically incorrect to treat your dog like a dog!
I think some of the reasoning behind this comes from the animal rights movement, trying to make us think of our pets as children and ourselves as "guardians" instead of owners. The more people that fall for that hogwash the easier it gets to get us to turn on each other and takes attention away from the ar’s real agenda, which is to end all animal ownership.
My dogs are my property, not my "children" I would not die for my dog, I don’t think it’s cruel to let dogs do what dogs do, like spend time outside, sleep in crates, eat dead stuff.
It’s not cruel to let racing greyhounds race, it’s not cruel to let a Husky sleep outside in the cold, it’s not cruel to train them, put leashes on them, or treat them like dogs!
Arista’s would have us all believe otherwise.
Right now it’s 45 degrees outside, the sun is shining and all my dogs are out there doing what dogs do, running around, playing with, GASP, raw bones, laying in the sun. They won’t come in! If that were my kids they would be wanting to come in and it WOULD be cruel not to let them!
