Are English Bull Terriers harder to train than other breeds?
ByAre English Bull Terriers harder to train than other breeds? Has anyone got good tips? She's 9wks old. I have her a week so far she can sit/stay and is almost house trained. Stops almost everytime I tell her. I've never had a dog before and want to make sure I'm in the right track, as I'm sure you'll all agree It's not good to get it wrong with a bull terrier!!!!

Bull Terriers are known for being stubborn, although they are certainly not stupid. They often know what is being asked of them, but may not feel like doing it at the time. It sounds like you are doing great now, it's important to lay the groundwork while she is young. Be aware that when she hits about 6 months she will be at the 'teenager' stage, which is when she is likely to begin disobeying and become difficult to handle. Just stay consistent and be sure you are the alpha in the relationship, and you should make it to adulthood fine!
