There are two "types" of Jack Russell Terriers — the Parson Russell, recognized by the AKC, is a teller, leggier dog (13"-14" at withers when full grown).
The Jack Russell, recognized by the UKC (United Kennel Club) is divided into two sizes, the smaller 10"-12.5", and the larger 12"-15" (comparable to the AKC’s Parson RT).
Other than size/leg length, all of these dogs are virtually identical.
